Bruce Herps
BRUCE HERPS– Biographical Notes
Born in Sydney.
Educated at Fort Street and completed a Law Degree at Sydney University.
Became a ‘Sunday Painter’ in mid 1970s – attending classes at the Royal Art Society.
His career in Corporate Commercial Law gave opportunities to travel to Europe and elsewhere where Bruce absorbed the art of the Masters.
In 1986, after retiring early from Law practice, he attended Hornsby T.A.F.E. College and concentrated on oil painting, drawing and print making.
Bruce taught Life Drawing at the Royal Art Society North Sydney during 1989 to 1997.
Since then Bruce has pursued painting, drawing and printmaking full-time.
